Back to school!!!!!

Mommy drove me crazy all night last night and this morning singing "Back to school, back to school to prove to dad that I'm not a fool" She said that anyone who has ever seen the movie Billy Madison will know exactly what she is talking about, well since I have never seen it I found it pretty annoying.

But enough about that,it is finally the day that I have been waiting ALL summer for the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!

After breakfast, and brushing our teeth and what seemed like an ETERNITY, it was FINALLY time to leave for school. We were both a little bummed that it was raining out, but Oh well!!!

Mommy insisted on walking us in which was OK with both of us since it was the first day and all. We were there a few minuets before the first bell so we hung out in the hall and it was so awesome to see all our friends!!!!! Finally the Bell rang and we could go to our classes. I got to go FIRST!!!!!

Although I had an amazing day at school, I couldn't wait to get home and tell Mom and Daddy all about my day! Both Collin and I came out of the school smiling. We had GREAT days and both LOVE our teacher. Collin is now in the 2nd grade and his teacher is Mrs. Dietrich. He said she is super nice and that they didn't do much other than read books and have two recesses! He was THRILLED because he had NO homework and thought it was funny that Mommy had "homework" she had lots of paper work to fill out!

I am in the 1st grade and in Mrs. Mankowsky's class. She is AWESOME. We did a few pages of desk work and then she took out her guitar and sang. It was so neat! I also go two recesses..in fact Collin and I have the same recess and lunch. Not that we will play together, but we did say "Hi." I got home work on the first day, but that is ok cause it was Easy, Peasy, Lemon squeezy! It was just one page (front and back) of math and I got it done really fast!

After homework and some play time Mommy made one of our favorite meals, Sloppy Joe's Tater tots and fresh cukes and Tomato's...and Brownies for desert. It was a great way to end a GREAT day!






end of summer~

Hi everyone! Well, summer is just about done and school starts on tuesday. We have been spending our last few weeks of summer swimming at the lake. I for one have learned how to do the back float, and both Kylie, Aiden and I can swim under water now! We've also been playing in our sprinkler, and watching Pre-season football! Us Woodruff's are ALWAYS ready for Football!

Today was a very exciting day for me. I had my very first ever cub scout event. We hiked Mt. Monadnock. Did you know that is the 2nd most hiked mountain in the ENTIRE WORLD!!!!! How cool is that!!!!!!! It tooks us about 3.5 hours to get to the top, but it was SOOO worth it!

Sprinklers, Specs and Tinklers!

Hi all! I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer. Ours has been great and is flying by. Collin finished up summer school today which he said "wasn't to bad" He only had to go 3 days a week for 2 hours each time. Anyway, since last time I posted there have been a few changes around the Woodruff house. One of them is that Mommy got us a new sprinkler!!!! We have been having alot of fun with it. Mommy says she got a really good deal on it. The sticker on the box said it was $12.00 but it was in a big bin that said 50% off. There were a few of them in there so Mommy thought she would get one..when she got to the register the girl said it was wrong and should be on sale, but a manager went and looked and since there were several in there it meant it was THEIR mistake and NOT mommy's so he gave it to her for $5.00. Mommy said that was even better than 50% off. Anyway, here is what mommy calls the best $5.00 she ever spent....

So that is how we have been staying cool in the evenings on the days that we have spent at the lake and mommy doesn't set up the Kiddie pool.

In Other news, if you don't follow along with the blog that Mommy keeps about Collin then you might not know, but Collin got GLASSES a few weeks ago. He totally hated them at first, but now that he is use to them doesn't mind..and he looks WICKED CUTE in them. But don't tell him I said so.

And one last BIG news here in the Woodruff house....

We have a new member to the "Undies Club"
SHANE!!!!!

Yup Shane is finally potty training!
Last weekend Mommy made brownies for us and we had an Undies Club party. It wasn't really a party, but just something fun to make Shane Happy and show him how proud we are! No more diapers in our house. Here is Shane as "Captain Underwear" Which is actually a real Book that Collin loves!!!
